How we measure a shirt, laid flat. Shoulder: measure from one shoulder seam to the other. Chest or pit-to-pit: measure straight from one armpit seam to the other. Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam down the outside of the sleeve to the hem. Length: measure from the highest shoulder point beside the collar down to the bottom hem.
